Exercise 2 Cardboard Box Modeling


create cube and set width,height and length


select the centre vertexes and set 2.9 at the X axis window


select the centre vertexes width wise and enter 2.92 at the Z axis window


select the side top face and go edit mesh>extrude


move it up abit


extrude again and move up higher


Select the top vertices and use pick walk to select the bottom one too


use the pivot tool to adjust the pivot to the correct spot to rotate


9change back to the rotate tool and rotate it down


Rotated down


Select top face and extrude setting Local translate Z to -29.5


Insert edge loop tool


Bevel the edges


select top edge vertices and move up down to make it look torn


select all the faces of the torn part


go mesh> extract


move and rotate to make it look like it's torn out


increase the height of the top edges alternate vertices to make it look torn
